Hey \u2013 maybe it\u2019ll be safe! And if so, Universal Orlando Resort will be ready for you with the\u00a0<strong><em>Jurassic World VelociCoaster<\/em><\/strong>. The coaster has been in construction for a year now, with no real official announcement \u2013 even though anyone nearby can tell you what\u2019s been built\u00a0dominates the park\u2019s skyline. But today, all the details are on the table, including a video that gives you a glimpse of what to expect.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jurassic_World_VelociCoaster\"><\/span><strong>Jurassic World VelociCoaster <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jurassic World VelociCoaster, Opening June 10 at Universal Orlando Resort\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VZmLgJr42W0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->First \u2013 the video above isn\u2019t <em>actual<\/em> footage of the ride, it\u2019s conceptual. But it gives you a good idea of what you can expect \u2013 a sprawling, intense ride that \u201cwill send guests catapulting up to 70 mph and more than 150 feet in the air with the swiftest of prehistoric predators.\u201d I\u2019m not\u00a0<em>entirely<\/em> sure where those prehistoric predators come in, as the footage above has them nowhere near the coaster. Maybe they get on the coaster with you? You take a seat and, whoops, there\u2019s a raptor sitting next to you. Sounds scary, right? Well, maybe the raptor is scared of rollercoasters and needs you to hold her hand when you go upside down. Ever think of that? Show some compassion for these horrible mutant monsters!<\/p>\n<p>The VelociCoaster is being hailed as \u201cFlorida\u2019s fastest and tallest launch coaster\u201d which will be unleashed \u2013 \u201calong with a pack of fierce Velociraptors\u201d \u2013 at Universal Orlando Resort in summer 2021. The ride will \u201cfeature an original story that expands upon the thrills, dinosaurs and environments fans have seen on the big screen,\u201d and also bring in footage of the cast members of the films: <strong>Chris Pratt<\/strong> as Owen Grady, <strong>Bryce Dallas Howard<\/strong> as Claire Dearing, and <strong>BD Wong<\/strong> as Dr. Henry Wu.<\/p>\n<p>The narrative idea is that Jurassic World is unveiling a \u201ccarnivore expansion\u201d \u2013 the VeliciCoaster, \u201cwhere riders embark on a high-speed chase and feel the rush of the hunt while racing alongside a nimble Velociraptor pack.\u201d I\u2019m not sure when they\u2019re supposed to have unveiled this coaster, as the island from\u00a0<em>Jurassic World<\/em> exploded due to a volcano in\u00a0<em>Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom<\/em>. But perhaps I\u2019m putting too much thought into this.<\/p>\n<p>The coaster spans more than\u00a04,700 feet of track and reaching heights of up to 155 feet, and features maneuvers that will have riders \u201ctwisting and soaring above land, barrel rolling just inches above water, speeding through near-misses and launches within the paddock, and more\u2026with just a lap restraint holding them in place.\u201d The ride also includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accelerate through two pulse-pounding launches, the fastest reaching 70 mph in 2.4 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Encounter a one-of-a-kind, 360-degree barrel roll right above the Islands of Adventure lagoon.<\/li>\n<li>Experience a zero-gravity inverted stall that will send riders upside down across 100 feet of track in a jaw-dropping maneuver that is the first of its kind<\/li>\n<li>Go airborne during the towering \u201cTop Hat,\u201d which propels riders 155 feet in the air and then im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely into an 80 degree drop \u2013 Universal\u2019s steepest drop yet.<\/li>\n<li>Brace for a total of 12 heart-pounding seconds of airtime \u2013 the thrilling sensation of weightlessness riders feel when they\u2019re lifted from their seats \u2013 throughout the entire adventure<\/li>\n<li>Steven Spielberg depositing a big check while a cartoony cash register sound is heard in the air.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Okay, I made that last one up, but the rest are real. The VelociCoaster will be part of\u00a0Jurassic Park at Universal\u2019s Islands of Adventure, which also includes \u201clife-size dinosaurs in incredible theme park experiences, including Jurassic Park River Adventure, where a leisure raft ride turns into a daring eight-story plunge to escape a ferocious T. rex; and Raptor Encounter, where guests can test their bravery and get up-close to Velociraptor Blue and the newest additions to the paddock \u2013 baby raptors \u2013 while learning more about the clever carnivores. Guests can also satisfy their cravings with all-new delectable food items inspired by Isla Nublar.\u201d More details will be available in the months ahead.
