{"id":77564,"date":"2020-09-28T21:30:33","date_gmt":"2020-09-28T18:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/new-research-says-liquid-water-might-exist-on-mars\/"},"modified":"2020-09-28T21:30:33","modified_gmt":"2020-09-28T18:30:33","slug":"new-research-says-liquid-water-might-exist-on-mars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/new-research-says-liquid-water-might-exist-on-mars\/","title":{"rendered":"#New research says liquid water might exist on Mars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#New research says liquid water might exist on Mars<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                        Martians may exist \u2014 and be living on lakefront property.<\/p>\n<p>New research shows that the Red Planet may actually have liquid water in salty lakes under its polar ice cap \u2014 thus giving a place for life to develop, according to a report.<\/p>\n<p>The bodies of water, if confirmed, would be similar to the subglacial lakes that exist on Earth, beneath the Antarctic and the Greenland ice sheets, where, despite the cold, bacterial life exists, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/science\/space\/liquid-water-mars-new-research-indicates-buried-lakes-n1241234\">NBC News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are much more confident now,\u201d lead researcher Elena Pettinelli, a professor of geophysics at Italy\u2019s Roma Tre University, told the network. \u201cWe did many more observations, and we processed the data completely differently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If the study, published Monday <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41550-020-1200-6\">in the journal Nature Astronomy<\/a>, is verified, it would mark the first time liquid lakes were found on Mars.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists have long speculated that \u2014 just as Earth\u2019s subglacial lakes are filled with bacterial life \u2014 something similar might be the case in liquid reservoirs on Mars.<\/p>\n<p>Pettinelli, a planetary scientist, and her team reviewed 134 ground-penetrating radar observations taken from the Mars Express Orbiter between 2012 and 2019 \u2014 more than four times as much data as before and taken during a time period more than twice as long, NBC reported.<\/p>\n<p>They used two techniques to review their findings \u2014 one already <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp;
