{"id":77766,"date":"2020-09-29T14:35:53","date_gmt":"2020-09-29T11:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/how-nyc-restaurants-prepping-for-indoor-dining\/"},"modified":"2020-09-29T14:35:53","modified_gmt":"2020-09-29T11:35:53","slug":"how-nyc-restaurants-prepping-for-indoor-dining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/how-nyc-restaurants-prepping-for-indoor-dining\/","title":{"rendered":"#How NYC restaurants prepping for indoor dining"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#How NYC restaurants prepping for indoor dining<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                        Big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le restaurants say that safety is their main dish as they gear up to launch indoor dining on Sept. 30 for the first time in six months.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of places know that their customers are still nervous about catching the coronavirus indoors despite the city\u2019s low infection rate \u2014 so they\u2019re going the last mile to make the eating experience as safe as it can be.<\/p>\n<p>At Asian jumbo <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/buddakannyc.com\/\">Buddakan<\/a> at 75 Ninth Ave. in Chelsea, managers will have 6-foot-long poles handy to show that tables are properly spaced under state and city rules if customers or inspectors complain. \u201cThe pole doesn\u2019t lie,\u201d said owner Stephen Starr.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bluestonelane.com\/\">Bluestone Lanes<\/a>\u2019 Kenmare Street and Greenwich Avenue locations installed \u201cFar-UVC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>,\u201d a type of ultraviolet light, to inactivate bacteria and viruses on clothing to augment the coffee cafes\u2019 air-filtration systems.<\/p>\n<p>Williamsburg\u2019s massive <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ainsliebk.com\/\">Ainslie<\/a> saved its communal tables from extinction by limiting them to eight customers each and separating parties with moveable Plexiglas dividers \u2014 although it might make thing less communal.<\/p>\n<p>All of the eateries will abide by strict legal requirements. They include a maximum of 25% of legal capacity, enhanced air-filtration systems, temperature checks for customers, masks to be worn at all times except when at tables, and a midnight curfew.<\/p>\n<p><!--If the slideshow is embedded in another post type add the inline wrapper --><\/p>\n<p>Bad <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> for boozers, but good news for everyone\u2019s safety: There\u2019ll be no service at bars inside the restaurants, although there are no drink restrictions at tables.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no firm count of how many places will be open indoors. But Andrew Rigie, executive director of the New York City Hospitality Alliance, said that most of the 10,300 restaurants that have had outdoor dining since last summer would reopen their doors.<\/p>\n<p>Some exalted eateries won\u2019t join the party just yet. Top-rated steakhouse <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/porterhousenyc.com\/\">Porter House New York<\/a> at Time Warner Center will wait until the state allows 50% capacity hopefully by Nov. 1, said chef\/owner Michael Lomonaco. \u201cThe numbers just didn\u2019t work for us at 25%,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Also sitting it out is Keith McNally\u2019s iconic <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/balthazarny.com\/\">Balthazar<\/a>, which will reopen \u201cas soon as possible,\u201d a rep said.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s full-speed-ahead at most, but not all, places run by top restaurateurs such as Stephen Starr, Danny Meyer, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Daniel Boulud and Shelly Fireman.<\/p>\n<p>At Starr\u2019s Buddakan, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/uplandnyc.com\/\">Upland<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pastisnyc.com\/\">Pastis<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/elveznyc.com\/\">El Vez<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lamerceriecafe.com\/\">La Mercerie<\/a>, \u201cWe\u2019re following the letter of the law,\u201d he said.
