\n SpaceX founder Elon Musk stirred the pot yet again after claiming that neither he nor his family would take a COVID-19 vaccine even if it was readily available.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old billionaire dropped the bombshell during a Monday appearance<\/a> on the New York Times opinion podcast \u201cSway.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not at risk, neither are my kids,\u201d Musk told host Kara Swisher about the rationale behind his decision.<\/p>\n

During the bizarre exchange, the Tesla CEO decried the nationwide lockdown as a \u201cno-win situation\u201d that has \u201cdiminished my faith in humanity.\u201d Musk previously called widespread quarantines \u201cunethical\u201d and \u201cde facto house arrest,\u201d RT reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

Instead of the current sweeping measures, the Boring Company boss suggested a more targeted lockdown where \u201canyone who is at risk\u201d be \u201cquarantined until the storm passes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swisher criticized his suggestion, adding that humans could potentially die in the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody dies,\u201d quipped Musk.<\/p>\n

To emphasize the supposed ridiculousness of the quarantines, Musk boasted that SpaceX \u201cdidn\u2019t skip a day\u201d throughout the entire pandemic. \u201cWe had national security clearance because we were doing national security work,\u201d he said. \u201cWe sent astronauts to the Space Station and back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later on, the automotive mogul addressed Bill Gates\u2019 criticisms of his skepticism toward the coronavirus, which Musk called \u201cdumb\u201d in March. During a CNBC interview in July, the Microsoft founder claimed that Musk didn\u2019t know much about vaccines and said he hoped that the SpaceX head \u201cdoesn\u2019t confuse areas he\u2019s not involved in too much.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGates said something about me not knowing what I was doing,\u201d Musk told Swisher. \u201cIt\u2019s like, hey, knucklehead, we actually make the vaccine machines for CureVac, that company you\u2019re invested in.\u201d He was referring to the fact that Tesla manufactures equipment for the German biopharmaceutical firm CureVac.<\/p>\n

This past July, the car magnate shaded Gates with a series<\/a> of cryptic Tweets that read, \u201cBilly G is not my lover,\u201d and \u201cThe rumor that Bill Gates & I are lovers is completely untrue.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
