By default, Mozilla Firefox opens with a special page called \u201cFirefox Home,\u201d but you might prefer a different web page. If you want Firefox to open up a custom home page instead, follow these simple steps.<\/p>\n

First, open Firefox. In any window, click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines), and select \u201cOptions\u201d on a Windows or Linux machine. On a Mac, select \u201cPreferences.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Options or Preferences tab, click \u201cHome\u201d and look for the \u201cNew Windows And Tabs\u201d section.<\/p>\n

In the drop-down menu beside \u201cHomepage And New Windows,\u201d select \u201cCustom URLs.\u201d In the text box that app<\/a>ears below, enter the address of the website you\u2019d like to use as your home page.<\/p>\n

You can also click \u201cUse Current Page\u201d to set the page you last visited before opening Options or Preferences as your home page (if the tab is still open), or you can click \u201cUse Bookmark\u201d to choose a site from your bookmarks.<\/p>\n

If you want to use more than one page as your home page, you can enter multiple website address into the text field, separating each of them with a pipe character (|). For example:<\/p>\n

(You\u2019ll find this character above the Enter key on your keyboard\u2014be sure to hold the Shift key while pressing it.)<\/p>\n

When Firefox launches (or a new window opens), every page specified will appear as a tab within that window.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re finished, close the Options or Preferences tab, and your settings will be saved.<\/p>\n
