\n An older white man, app<\/a>arently furious at Black Lives Matter demonstrators in Whitestone, Queens threatened them with knives and then plowed his SUV onto the sidewalk where they were demonstrating, sending the activists running for their lives, according to police and video.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Two videos of the incident, which occurred Tuesday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. near Clintonville Street and the Cross Island Expressway service road, show the man jumping out of his car and brandishing a Wolverine-type claw \u2014 two large knives affixed to his hands \u2014 and yelling at demonstrators.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The activists were at the location affixing signs on the highway overpass and demonstrating against police brutality after an admitted racist, Anthony Abicca, was captured on video ripping down a single BLM sign earlier this week and hurling racial slurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a second video, the man is seen getting back into his SUV, making a U-turn, and driving onto the sidewalk where he sped towards about a half dozen activists that were gathered, sending them sprinting away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The man then drove off the sidewalk and left the scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA 23-year-old male reported to police that and [sic] unidentified individual exited a vehicle with a sharp object and displayed it to a crowd that was peacefully protesting and fled in a vehicle described as a gray SUV mercury,\u201d the NYPD told The Post in an emailed statement.<\/span><\/p>\n
