So much so that they\u2019re constantly on the lookout for more information, spoilers, and hints from the producers and the stars.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the fans began watching the series when it premiered in 2014, are fans of the When Calls the Heart Facebook group (with over 81,000 members) as well as other groups for hearties (an informal name for fans of the series), and follow the cast on every social media platform possible. But there are still a few things they might not know about the series, namely the beloved town of Hope Valley.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_row_houses\"><\/span>The row houses<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The row houses were built in just 3 1\/2 weeks. The comfy-looking houses where Elizabeth Thatcher and Lee and Rosemary Coulter live are the only two houses that were built for the series. The rest of the row that is often show in long range scenes are duplicated as revealed by series star, Erin Krakow. The row houses have often been used for other town members as well, including Abigail Stanton and Cat Montgomery from season one.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_building_of_the_town\"><\/span>The building of the town<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Coal Valley, the original name of Hope Valley, was built in only a month with a crew of 25 people.\u00a0A church, with a combined saloon\/schoolhouse, the mercantile, the cafe, and the Mountie station were all built with complete interiors that include vintage items like oil lamps and Victrolas.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_the_town_is_located\"><\/span>Where the town is located<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>When Calls the Heart<\/em> is shot on an actual working farm called Macinnes Farms.\u00a0The farm has been part of the Macinnes family for forty-plus years, and <em>When Calls the Heart <\/em>will often include scenes from the work taking place on the farm, such as when the farm works on barley. It didn\u2019t take long for a scouting entourage, that included both Landon, Jr. and executive producer Brian Bird, to show up, and the Jamestown set became Coal Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, <em>When Calls the Heart<\/em> hosts the Hearties Family Reunion which allows fans to tour the set as part of their convention fee.\u00a0 It\u2019s usually held in October, but fans can check the website to see if and when it will be held this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your favorite place in Hope Valley?
