\nJennifer Aniston<\/strong> may be in the prime of her career, but she app<\/a>arently considered throwing in the towel just a couple years ago!<\/p>\n

The superstar made an appearance on the SmartLess<\/em> podcast, hosted by fellow actors Jason Bateman<\/strong>, Sean Hayes<\/strong>, and Will Arnett<\/strong>, and revealed that an \u201cunprepared project\u201d she worked on in the past couple years left her debating whether acting was still the right path for her.<\/p>\n

She explained about almost walking away from the business:<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have to say the last two years that has crossed my mind, which it never did before.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whoa!<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old naturally didn\u2019t reveal what project made her doubt her career choices, but noted that it took place shortly before The Morning Show<\/em> \u2014 the acclaimed drama series<\/a> that landed her a SAG Award<\/strong> earlier this year, not to mention both Golden Globes<\/strong> and Emmys<\/strong> nominations.<\/p>\n

She said of the project:<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore The Morning Show, it was after a job I had completed and I was like \u2018Woah that sucked the life out of me\u2019 and I don\u2019t know if this is what interests me. And I had this fantasy of \u2018what if I just\u2026 you know.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hmmm\u2026. what could she be talking about!?<\/p>\n

A quick look at Aniston\u2019s IMDB page shows that her most recent project before The Morning Show<\/em> was starring alongside Adam Sandler<\/strong> in the Netflix<\/strong> comedy Murder Mystery<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But the actress made it clear in the interview that she \u201calways\u201d loves filming with the Big Daddy<\/em> star, sharing:<\/p>\n

\u201cI always love shooting with Sandler. Just Go With It<\/em> was super fun. We\u2019ve known each other since we were 19.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Noted!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll rule out movies like Horrible Bosses 2<\/em> and Office Christmas Party<\/em>, as those both also starred podcast co-host Bateman, and we can\u2019t imagine she was trying to call him out like that. We can also cross off Jen\u2019s 2014 drama Cake<\/em>, as she called that experience one of her most \u201cfulfilling,\u201d explaining:<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was an experience that was creatively fulfilling. Everything I imagined as an actor I\u2019d be completely afraid of and suck at, I didn\u2019t so bad.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So, what\u2019s left? The 2018 comedy Dumplin\u2019<\/em> and the 2017 war drama The Yellow Birds<\/em> \u2014 both of which Jen served as executive producer in addition to acting in. But it\u2019s worth noting that she played a grieving mother in The Yellow Birds<\/em>, which\u00a0is<\/em> the kind of role that would suck the life out of a comedic-leaning actor, if you ask us.<\/p>\n

Either way, we\u2019ll likely never know which exact role almost made Jen change careers. But we do know what she\u2019d be doing if she had quit. The star said on the episode:<\/p>\n

\u201cInterior design, probably\u2026 I love it. It\u2019s my happy place. It\u2019s really a happy place for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We could totally see it!<\/p>\n

As for her most beloved past performances, Jen said that her \u201cnumber one\u201d favorite is still playing Rachel Green. She shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved, well, obviously Friends<\/em>. <\/i>That\u2019s a no brainer\u2026I would have to say that would be number one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Fortunately, Jen\u2019s not going anywhere!<\/p>\n
