There are some email senders from which you never want to hear. You can\u2019t stop them from sending you emails, but you can set up Gmail to automatically delete the emails as soon as they arrive. Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n

Gmail has a simple but powerful filter system that you can use to process incoming emails. We\u2019re going to use this to create a filter that deletes emails from a specific address so that it never hits your inbox.<\/p>\n

Start by visiting Gmail\u2019s website,<\/a>\u00a0then clicking the arrow in the Search box.<\/p>\n

Clicking the arrow will open the Advanced Search options. Enter the email address whose messages you want to automatically delete, then click the \u201cCreate Filter\u201d button.<\/p>\n

Check the \u201cDelete It\u201d checkbox and then select the \u201cCreate Filter\u201d button.<\/p>\n

A confirmation box will be displayed in the bottom left-hand corner of Gmail\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s all there is to it\u2014your filter is now created, and any emails from the address you chose will be automatically deleted without you ever seeing them.<\/p>\n

To see and manage your filters, head back to Gmail\u2019s home page, click the \u201cGear\u201d icon in the top-right corner of the site, then select \u201cSee All Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n
