\n A handful of women who were victimized by Nxivm tore into Seagram\u2019s heiress Clare Bronfman on Wednesday, calling her a \u201cdangerous megalomaniac\u201d and \u201cpredator\u201d for bankrolling the upstate sex cult.<\/p>\n

Nine women delivered emotional victim impact statements in Brooklyn federal court ahead of Bronfman\u2019s sentencing.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid you ever consider they wanted your money? What would happ<\/a>en if you just stopped giving your money?\u201d asked Susan Dones, who fled the alleged self-help group. \u201cIn my opinion, you\u2019re a predator. Let that sink in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bronfman \u2014 who tightly held her lawyer\u2019s hand as she got the earful \u2014 is set to learn whether she\u2019ll be sent to prison for her role in Nxivm.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old daughter of late former Seagram liquor chairman Edgar Bronfman Sr. pleaded guilty last August<\/a> to charges of conspiracy to conceal and harbor an illegal alien for financial gain, and fraudulent use of identification.<\/p>\n

She funneled some of her $210 million fortune into Nxivm \u2014 which ran a secretive master-slave sex group called DOS in which young women were starved, forced to sleep with leader Keith Raniere, and branded with his initials.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should understand that there are lives you destroyed,\u201d Dones continued. \u201cIf you would\u2019ve allowed that truth to come to the surface, DOS would not ever have happened. What you call humanity of Nxivm is just lipstick on a pig.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Dones then accused Bronfman of still being under Raniere\u2019s spell.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pray for you every day,\u201d she said. \u201cI pray you will take the class of Keith Raniere out of you \u2026 because he is killing you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kristin Keeffe, who worked with Bronfman for 11 years as a paralegal, also spoke, recalling how her one-time boss helped Raniere dodge child support payments for the son they share.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw Clare mentally descend over several years into a dangerous megalomaniac,\u201d said Keeffe, who fled with her son, Gaelyn, now 13, in 2014.<\/p>\n

Bronfman also launched a financial attack on her when she protested litigation against Raniere\u2019s ex-girlfriend, Barbara Boucher, Keeffe said \u2014 by billing her rent for a Nxivm townhouse she lived in and slashing her $55,000-a-year salary to just $13,000.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the liquor heiress \u201crode a $1 million horse, bought a 6,500-square-foot mansion and flew in her $11 million private jet,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was trying to psychologically break me,\u201d Keeffe said.<\/p>\n

Boucher told Bronfman \u2014 a former high-ranking Nxivm leader who recently refused to disavow Raniere \u2014 that the man they called \u201cVanguard\u201d used her as a \u201cpawn.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cClare, do you realize they lied to you? You thought you were in the inner circle. You were six layers out,\u201d she said. \u201cHe used you. He pawned you. He made you feel special.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the women wrapped up their statements, about three minutes of silence fell over the cavernous courtroom before the judge ordered a break before sentencing.<\/p>\n

Bronfman faces 30 months behind bars, but prosecutors have asked that she be sentenced to twice that \u2014 five years in prison. Her lawyers are calling for three years of probation.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
