\nBringing life into the world doesn\u2019t come without some bumps in the road.<\/p>\n

Nikki Bella<\/strong> is unfortunately finding that out as she revealed more about her struggle with postpartum depression, while fianc\u00e9 Artem Chigvintsev<\/strong> shoots Dancing with the Stars<\/em>.<\/p>\n

During Wednesday\u2019s new episode of the Total Bellas Podcast<\/em>, the new momma explained about feeling \u201csuper depressed\u201d following the birth of their son Matteo<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always prided myself that I can fight a lot of things mentally. I\u2019m very strong in that way. Postpartum has knocked me on my ass. This is something that is way different.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But between caring for the newborn and filming Total Bellas<\/em>, it became too much, and she had a \u201cmassive\u201d breakdown after she \u201crefused to ask for help.\u201d The former pro wrestler recalled:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think [my twin sister], Brie<\/strong> [Bella], was the first person who\u2019s asked me in weeks: \u2018How are you doing?\u2019 I was about to say, \u2018Fine,\u2019 and my lips started shaking and I burst into alligator tears. Like, I broke down. Because that was the first time someone asked me in a while how I was doing, and I wasn\u2019t doing OK.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Following a \u201cdeep conversation\u201d with her doctor, Miz Bella came to the realization she was \u201cstarting to fall into a postpartum depression,\u201d saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t realize at week seven, you kind of come out of your baby blues and \u2026 go two different paths. You go the path of being healthy or you go down the path of being depressed, and that depression path can be a really dark, deep hole. I was starting to feel invisible. \u2026 It just started to build up. Being alone with Matteo and just feeling lonely and not loved and invisible.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When Artem was able to come home from filming the ABC<\/strong> series<\/a>, he focused mainly on their son. But when Nikki was honest with her fianc\u00e9, he wished she\u2019d been open about this \u201csooner,\u201d the WWEDiva<\/strong> told to her sister:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like \u2018At times, I felt like you were starting to hate me.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018You could be mean.\u2019 And I\u2019m not gonna lie, I did have moments of being mean. I did have moments when I looked at him and I hated him. It\u2019s true. There were times I\u2019d look at him and I\u2019m like, \u2018I think I hate you.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Luckily, she has Brie to rely on, who has \u201cbeen there\u201d as a momma of two:<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a little bit of postpartum depression. When I looked at you, it\u2019s more than just being sleep-deprived. She\u2019s lonely. She\u2019s doing a lot of this on her own. \u2026 Being parents was never supposed to be this lonely.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nikki noted she and Artem are working on deepening their love languages, so let\u2019s hope that along with the support of her doctor and sister will help turn things around.<\/p>\n
