\n Model and entrepreneur Chrissy Teigen revealed that she suffered a pregnancy loss in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old mother of two, who was expecting a boy she called Jack, had been hospitalized in Los Angeles over the weekend and received blood transfusions after experiencing bleeding during the past month of her pregnancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we\u2019ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn\u2019t enough,\u201d she wrote<\/a>, posting a black-and-white image of herself sitting up, crying in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe never decide on our babies\u2019 names until the last possible moment after they\u2019re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack,\u201d Teigen went on.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cSo he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever,\u201d she added. \u201cTo our Jack \u2013 I\u2019m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn\u2019t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teigen, who is married to musician John Legend, expressed gratitude for her family \u2014\u00a0 including her daughter and son, Luna and Miles \u2014 and her supporters for sending their love.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we\u2019ve been able to experience,\u201d Teigen went on.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut everyday can\u2019t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
