That\u2019s a minor 1.49 percent decline in 24 hours, or -$161.68. It was the lowest closing price in seven days.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re still 47 percent below Bitcoin\u2018s all-time high of $20,089 (December 17 2017).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_market_cap\"><\/span>Bitcoin market cap<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Bitcoin\u2018s market cap ended the day at $196,588,367,760. It now commands 58 percent of the total crypto market.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_volume\"><\/span>Bitcoin volume<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Yesterday\u2019s volume of $27,178,227,816 was the highest in nine days, 18 percent above last year\u2019s average, and 63 percent below last year\u2019s high.\u00a0That means that yesterday, the Bitcoin network shifted the equivalent of 442 tons of gold.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_transactions\"><\/span>Bitcoin transactions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A total of 304,633 transactions were conducted yesterday, which is 4 percent below last year\u2019s average and 32 percent below last year\u2019s high.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_transaction_fee\"><\/span>Bitcoin transaction fee<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Yesterday\u2019s average transaction fee concerned $2.13. That\u2019s $1.78 below last year\u2019s high of $3.91.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_distribution_by_address\"><\/span>Bitcoin distribution by address<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As of now, there are 17,445 Bitcoin millionaires, or addresses containing more than $1 million worth of Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the top 10 Bitcoin addresses house 4.8 percent of the total supply, the top 100 14.2 percent, and the top 1000 34.9 percent.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Company_with_a_market_cap_closest_to_Bitcoin\"><\/span>Company with a market cap closest to Bitcoin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With a market capitalization of $197 billion, Nike has a market capitalization most similar to that of Bitcoin at the moment.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoins_path_towards_1_million\"><\/span>Bitcoin\u2019s path towards $1 million<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On November 29 2017 notorious Bitcoin evangelist John McAfee <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/officialmcafee\/status\/935900326007328768\">predicted<\/a> that Bitcoin would reach a price of $1 million by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>He even promised to eat his own dick if it doesn\u2019t. Unfortunately for him it\u2019s $634K behind being on track. Bitcoin\u2018s price should have been $644,381 by now, according to dickline.info.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_energy_consumption\"><\/span>Bitcoin energy consumption<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On a yearly basis Bitcoin now uses an estimated 71 terawatt hour of electricity. That\u2019s 70.3 percent above last year\u2019s average.
