\n Yankees great CC Sabathia, along with Barstool Sports media<\/a> personality Eric Sollenberger \u2014 better known as PFT Commenter \u2014 made cameos on Sunday night\u2019s episode of \u201cBillions,\u201d the hit Showtime series<\/a> chronicling the life of fictional hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod.<\/p>\n

The pair run into Axelrod at an NYC art gala in the seventh episode of season five, which served as the mid-season finale.<\/p>\n

\u201cCC, what\u2019s up?\u201d says Axelrod, played by Damian Lewis. The character was inspired by local hedge-fund billionaire Steve Cohen, who nearly purchased the Mets over the winter before a deal with the Wilpons fell through.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like what I see,\u201d the former pitcher says while pointing to a wall of art, as Sollenberger, 36, stands in the background with his trademark sunglasses.<\/p>\n

\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cTune into @sho_billions now!!\u201d Sabathia wrote on Instagram as the show was set to air. \u201cYou might even catch your boy on the episode Catch it on @showtime\u201d<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old former pitcher retired after last season and is no stranger to pop culture. Sabathia also has made cameos in CBS\u2019s \u201cGod Friended Me\u201d and Fox Sports \u201cCubed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last August, Sabathia made his stage debut in a one-night-cameo during the Broadway production of \u201cRock of Ages.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
