Inside her ties to Harvey Weinstein<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                        \u201cEveryone seems to f\u2013king hate Harvey but they don\u2019t realize they don\u2019t really hate Harvey,\u201d said Alexandra Vino of her rumored paramour, Harvey Weinstein. \u201cThey are being told how to feel. He is a scapegoat for this entire [#MeToo] movement and they\u2019ve destroyed his life. It\u2019s been like a \u00adhuman sacrifice. People get 23 years in prison for murdering people, not for what he did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein, the disgraced movie-studio mogul, has been publicly accused of sexual assault and harassment by women including Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Annabella Sciorra, Ashley Judd and more than 100 others. Earlier this year, he began serving time at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo, sentenced to 23 years for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2020\/02\/24\/harvey-weinstein-verdict-jury-convicts-on-two-sex-crimes-charges\/?_ga=2.174216226.1231995780.1601305961-1218008219.1584115902\">criminal sexual assault and rape<\/a>. But he may have found the one woman in New York City who thinks he\u2019s been given a bum rap.<\/p>\n<p>Vino, a 30-year-old actress, singer, artist and aspiring screenwriter, has been linked with the former producer after she was seen <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2019\/11\/09\/weinstein-gal-pal-alexandra-vino-denies-relationship-lies-but-viral-video-suggests-otherwise\/\">canoodling with him<\/a> at downtown hot spots Downtime and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social<\/a>ista on the eve of his conviction for rape last fall. She was seen sitting on his lap and once even interceded on his behalf when another woman protested the presence of a \u201cf\u2013king rapist\u201d at the bar.<\/p>\n<p>In January, the two checked into a Red Bank, NJ, hotel and were dinged for extra charges after they lit up joints in their nonsmoking room and then ordered \u201cseveral ice creams,\u201d according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/rambling-reporter\/harvey-weinstein-slapped-cleaning-fees-smoking-inside-new-jersey-hotel-room-1273904\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While insiders told The Post Vino and Weinstein have been romantically involved, the artist and actress Vino admits to nothing more than friendship: \u201cI\u2019d like to keep my private life private.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, she defends him more passionately than his own lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"wpcom-iframe-a3c5390d0b28cf5df14b8849f39181be\" width=\"\" height=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/embeds.nypost.com\/protected-iframe\/a3c5390d0b28cf5df14b8849f39181be\" scrolling=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"wpcom-protected-iframe\"><br \/>\n    <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know what Oscar parties are like, I know what goes on,\u201d Vino told The Post. \u201cI\u2019ve seen the gorgeous women throwing themselves at Harvey and other powerful men all day long. These girls in LA and New York are not na\u00efve. You don\u2019t hit on a guy [like Weinstein] with a track record for hitting on women. What, and then you\u2019re all, \u2018Oh I can\u2019t believe he asked me for a back massage?\u2019 Come on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vino and Weinstein\u2019s unusual relationship was also on display Sept. 24 at her art show on the rooftop of Bogart House in Williamsburg.<\/p>\n<p>In prison, Weinstein can call people only from an <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved phone list, which includes Vino, and he loses his phone privileges at 5 p.m. each day. But that didn\u2019t keep him from trying to stage-manage her show \u2014 that he reportedly funded \u2014 and keep The Post out, during 90 minutes of high-pitched, dramatic phone calls to his p.r. representative, Vino and a friend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere are they?\u201d Weinstein, 68, could be heard bellowing over the phone, meaning a Post reporter and photographer. \u201cGo get rid of them, take them out to dinner and I\u2019ll pay for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in a tough spot!\u201d Weinstein shouted during another call, reportedly in reference to his plans to soon file an appeal asking to overturn his sentence. But he also seemed confused about his current status, yelling that he would \u201cbe out in a few days.\u201d He will not be eligible for parole for 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>The former power player could also be heard yelling into the phone that he had paid for Vino\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alexandravinoarts.com\/\">art show. She later denied this: \u201cHe hasn\u2019t funded anything, I wish there were funding but [his money is] all tied up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An employee of the Bogart House said the space was lent to Vino for free and that she paid for other expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein finally went silent after an hour of heated phone calls at 5 p.m. The Post then managed to get into the art exhibit \u2014 but could first interview Vino, dressed in a black Andrea Lieberman dress and YSL stilettos, only with one of Weinstein\u2019s p.r. representatives by her side. A Post reporter overheard Weinstein claim he funded Vino\u2019s recent art show.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As a Bogart House waitress proffered slices of vegan pizza, Weinstein\u2019s rep allowed a clearly frustrated Vino to talk only about her acting career (she most recently had a small part opposite Mark Wahlberg in this year\u2019s \u201cSpenser Confidential\u201d), her early work (she played the \u201ctoken American\u201d in several Bollywood films) and her oil paintings, which have a woodsy fairy-tale vibe and sell for \u00adbetween $5,000 and $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>Several days after the art show, however, Vino agreed to talk more freely to The Post.<\/p>\n<p>She said she grew up in New Jersey and on the Upper West Side, splitting her time between her divorced parents. Her mother was a homemaker; her father a rock musician. She did not want to reveal her \u00adparents\u2019 names.<\/p>\n<p>Vino began acting as a child, being ferried to commercial auditions in Manhattan by her Russian maternal grandmother. She also spent months in LA when her dad was touring and working as a musician there, she said. She attended the Fashion Institute of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a> and, at 17, joined the Actors Studio where, she said, she was mentored by Martin Landau.<\/p>\n<p>Vino said she met Weinstein years ago while dating a man \u2014 allegedly the son of a major, now-deceased producer who made films with Weinstein \u2014 who worked for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known Harvey a very long time,\u201d Vino told The Post. \u201cI\u2019ve seen women competing to be with him, begging to be with him. I have seen it with a lot of men in the industry. I\u2019ve also seen how generous he can be \u2014 what a godfather he was to people. I find it horrifying what the press did to him and I think there was an agenda. I\u2019m all for women\u2019s rights and the women\u2019s movement. But can\u2019t we give women equal pay and equal rights without killing men?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vino, who is a fan of the outspoken black conservative activist Candace Owens, says that she may not be politically correct but she understands what it\u2019s like to be a victim.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote left\"><p>Women do what they can to get the hottest, most powerful man. It\u2019s what makes the world go round.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"attribution\">\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Alexandra Vino<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had sexual assaults in my younger years,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I also put myself in bad positions and I think some guys thought I was leading them on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also believes that the two women whose court cases led to Weinstein\u2019s prison time bear some responsibility for what happened to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLines were blurred,\u201d Vino said. \u201cI\u2019m not saying these women are wrong. They both believe their truths and get coached by lawyers for financial gain. Everyone knows men are aggressive. And women can be, too. Men work hard so they can get the hottest chick and women do what they can to get the hottest, most \u00adpowerful man. It\u2019s what makes the world go round.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for the sordid claims of Weinstein masturbating in front of women and ejaculating into a potted plant at Socialista?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s kind of funny,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd if he were really a rapist, why would he bother just masturbating like that?\u201d<br \/>Vino is savvy enough to \u00adrealize that aligning herself with a man like Weinstein won\u2019t help her career at this point.<\/p>\n<p>She has 33 film and TV credits after more than a decade of working in Hollywood. But she\u2019s still waiting, she said, for a lead role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople have to be so politically correct these days that I think they\u2019re scared of being seen as having anything to do with \u00adHarvey,\u201d she said. \u201cThey might be afraid to cast me and that\u2019s a big concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vino said she is aware people are suspicious of the relationship \u2014 and wonder what she is getting out of it.<\/p>\n<p><!--If the slideshow is embedded in another post type add the inline wrapper --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing is in it for me except for the fact that I\u2019m a loyal friend to all my friends. I have a lot of empathy for him and I saw him lose his whole life. It\u2019s hard for people to think I\u2019d just be friends with him. We were friends before the scandal,\u201d she said. \u201cBeing friends with Harvey has not helped me. If anything it has been publicly not good to be with someone who everyone hates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She reserves her venom for Weinstein\u2019s former friends and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these people just turned their backs on him \u2014 and they only did it to protect themselves,\u201d Vino said. \u201cSo many people who stood up for him in the beginning saw they were in danger of losing their jobs because of it. So they just let him be destroyed. I say let the man f\u2013king live. He\u2019s not dangerous. He never was dangerous. He can barely walk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another Weinstein pal told The Post that Vino is important to the convict because \u201call his friends have abandoned him. She is loyal to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Vino said she is \u201cloyal to a fault\u201d even though it has gotten her in trouble before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarvey can\u2019t do anything for me,\u201d she added. \u201cHe\u2019s in jail. But I\u2019m loyal \u2026 I want to have a good life. My work is everything to me and I don\u2019t want to be punished for speaking up.
