\n Lakers superstar Anthony Davis was an unstoppable force in the first two Finals game<\/a>s, averaging 33 points, as the Lakers built a 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n

Then came Sunday\u2019s Game 3, a 115-104 loss, and the Lakers looked a lot like the club that had not made the playoffs for six straight years. A club without Davis.<\/p>\n

Burdened by foul trouble, Davis had a dud of a 17-point, five-turnover performance and was a minus-26.<\/p>\n

Davis got two quick fouls. Then midway through the second quarter, he picked up No. 3 on a questionable charge on the perimeter against Kelly Olynyk. Davis sat on the bench the final 5:30 of the half. Hounded with double and trip<\/a>le teams, Davis scored just five and had five turnovers in 11:16 first-half minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt had an impact,\u2019\u2019 Davis said. \u201cPicked up two early, come in and get the third. So it takes away the aggressiveness on both ends of the floor that I\u2019m used to playing with, and those guys like to take charges. It took away the aggressiveness. I still got to be better and still got to find ways to affect the game on both ends of the floor, but it definitely took me out and put a little bit too much pressure on the other guys.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Lakers coach Frank Vogel said Davis\u2019 first-half foul trouble was a factor but not why they lost.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to play through it,\u2019\u2019 Vogel said. \u201cThat\u2019s part of the game.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Davis took ownership of the loss in his first Finals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team relies on me bringing the energy to start the game, and when you pick up two fouls, guys come in earlier,\u2019\u2019 Davis said. \u201cI just have to be better. But it\u2019s one loss. We\u2019re still up in the series<\/a>.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n

With the Heat back to a 2-1 deficit, they still could get Miami PG Goran Dragic (torn plantar fascia) and center Bam Adebayo (neck\/shoulder strain) back for Game 4, with coach Erik Spoelstra not ruling them out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can see the anguish in their eyes \u2014 both of them,\u2019\u2019 Spoelstra said before the game. \u201cBut they\u2019re making progress. We have to be responsible tonight.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Dragic, Miami\u2019s leading scorer in the playoffs, didn\u2019t play the second half of Game 1 after taking a bad step. Adebayo, who made the All-Star team for the first time, left in the third quarter of Game 1. If they return, that could put a chill in the Lakers\u2019 spines after their lackluster performance Sunday.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
