Blue\/Getty Images)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>      <span class=\"wsj-article-credit article__inset__image__caption__credit\" itemprop=\"creator\"><br \/>\n            Getty Images<br \/>\n          <\/span><br \/>\n  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>       Shares of movie theater operators took a deep dive Monday, after the U.K.\u2019s Cineworld Group PLC said it will temporarily suspend operations at all of its theaters, as the release of the latest James Bond film was delayed for a second time.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Cineworld\u2019s move impacts its 536 Regal theaters in the U.S. and 127 Cineworld and Picturehouse theaters in the U.K., from Oct. 8.  Cineworld had acquired Regal Entertainment Group for $3.6 billion in a deal that closed in February 2018. <\/p>\n<p> Cineworld\u2019s U.S.-listed shares<br \/>\n        CNNWF,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208174566\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-37.40%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       plummeted 36% in morning trading,  while its U.K.-listed shares<br \/>\n        CINE,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/206525056\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-36.88%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       plunged 36% toward the lowest close in six months.<\/p>\n<p>That weighed on shares of other movie theater operators. Cinemark Holdings Inc.\u2019s stock<br \/>\n        CNK,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200040530\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-18.23%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       tumbled 16%, putting it on track for the lowest close since April 3. Trading volume swelled to 13.3 million shares, compared with the full-day average of about 7.5 million shares.<\/p>\n<p>AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. shares<br \/>\n        AMC,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200235402\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-11.29%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       dropped 11%, and was headed for the lowest close since Aug. 5.<\/p>\n<p>AMC\u2019s stock has now lost 40% since its closed at a  more than six-month high on Sept. 2, while Cinemark shares have shed 47% over the same time. Year to date, shares of AMC have shed 43% and Cinemark have slid 75%.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S.-listed shares of Toronto-based Cineplex Inc.<br \/>\n        CPXGF,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205690789\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-19.83%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n        sank 20%, while the Canada-listed stock<br \/>\n        CGX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/201832697\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-22.27%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       lost 22%.<\/p>\n<p>BMO Capital analyst Tim Casey downgraded Cineplex to underperform from market perform, citing \u201celevated concerns\u201d regarding the COVID-19 pandemic  in Canada, and particularly Ontario.
