\nNicole Kidman<\/strong> is opening up (a bit?) about her 11-year marriage to Tom Cruise<\/strong>\u2026 and she\u2019s being cryptic about it, at that!<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old Australian actress is the focus of a new interview with the\u00a0New York Times<\/em> in which she revealed just a bit about being \u201chapp<\/a>ily married\u201d to the now-58-year-old action star while filming their infamous 1999 sexual drama Eyes Side Shut<\/em> together for director\u00a0Stanley Kubrick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kidman has not been particularly open about her marriage to Cruise in the past, though, and it appears as if this time around is no different!<\/p>\n

In the interview, the question came up about Kubrick\u2019s film, in which the pair played a married couple dealing with infidelity. When asked whether that on-screen storyline created \u201cnegative feelings\u201d for Kidman during the couple\u2019s real-life marriage, the Aussie actress simply said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would go go-kart racing after those scenes [with infidelity]. We\u2019d rent out a place and go racing at 3 in the morning. I don\u2019t know what else to say. Maybe I don\u2019t have the ability to look back and dissect it. Or maybe I\u2019m not willing to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yeah\u2026 see what we\u2019re saying?! That\u2019s kind of a cryptic thing to say, isn\u2019t it??<\/p>\n

Heck, the\u00a0Big Little Lies<\/em> star gave way<\/em> more when asked about Kubrick, who died shortly after completing the thriller in 1999.<\/p>\n

When asked about the famed film director\u2019s work, Kidman fondly recalled the family life she\u2019d had with Cruise and now-adult children Connor<\/strong> and\u00a0Isabella<\/strong> on set, revealing:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe loved working with [Kubrick]. We shot [Eyes Wide Shut<\/em>] for two years. We had two kids and were living in a trailer on the lot primarily, making spaghetti because Stanley liked to eat with us sometimes. We were working with the greatest filmmaker and learning about our lives and enjoying our lives on set.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Awww! That\u2019s cute. And definitely a little more illuminating than the quote about the Top Gun<\/em> star! Just saying!!!<\/p>\n

But to be fair, this isn\u2019t the first time Nicole has shied away from really going in on her ex-husband, whom she split from back in 2001.<\/p>\n

In a 2018 interview with\u00a0Today<\/em>,\u00a0Keith Urban<\/strong>\u2018s wife was asked specifically about Cruise and her experiences with the\u00a0#MeToo Movement<\/strong> while being married to the A-lister. Even while discussing the inner workings of Hollywood in that context, Kidman barely budged on Cruise personally, and eventually said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like discussing exes and all of that. I feel it\u2019s almost disrespectful to Tom, and disrespectful to Keith. So I try to stay in the here and now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

No kidding\u2026<\/p>\n

She doubled down on that same stance later in 2018, telling Australia\u2019s Who Magazine<\/em> that she was \u201cvery private\u201d about her personal life, and would \u201cprotect all those relationships\u201d with her family members, exes, and close friends at all costs.<\/p>\n

So, say what you will about Nicole not coming clean about the Mission: Impossible<\/em> superstar, but at least she\u2019s been consistent about it! Can\u2019t knock the woman for wanting to keep private things private as much as she\u2019s able to, ya know?!<\/p>\n

Still, that one cryptic line in the go-kart quote (above) is giving us pause: \u201cMaybe I don\u2019t have the ability to look back and dissect it. Or maybe I\u2019m not willing to.\u201d<\/p>\n
