\n Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden suggested on Monday night that President Trump is partly at fault for his own coronavirus diagnosis.<\/p>\n

Biden lobbed the criticism in an NBC town hall after host Lester Holt asked if he agreed with a poll in which 65 percent of Americans said Trump bore some responsibility for catching COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, masks don\u2019t matter, social<\/a> distancing doesn\u2019t matter, I think is responsible for what happ<\/a>ens to them,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n

The former vice president slammed anti-maskers at the event and said wearing a face covering is \u201cpatriotic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI view wearing this mask not so much protecting me, but as a patriotic responsibility. All the tough guys say: I\u2019m not wearing a mask. I\u2019m not afraid.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, be afraid for your husband, your wife, your son, your daughter, your neighbor, or your co-worker. That\u2019s who you\u2019re protecting having this mask on. And it should be viewed as a patriotic duty to protect those around you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Biden spoke Monday night around the time Trump returned to the White House following three days of treatment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Soon after returning, Trump posted a video message on Twitter where he told Americans \u201cdon\u2019t be afraid\u201d of COVID-19.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
