\n Two Rochester radio hosts were axed Wednesday after making racist comments on-air about a group of looters, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck, who host the program \u201cKimberly and Beck\u201d on 95.1 FM, came under fire after the episode Tuesday in which they discussed a local couple who were attacked on video by a group of eight men, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, let me ask you a question. Were they acting n-word-ish?\u201d Ray said, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Though she never used the actual slur, Ray asked again whether the attackers were behaving \u201cn-word-ly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you look like a thug and if you act like a thug, and you\u2019ve got three on one beating up a white woman with a two-by-four, by God, you\u2019re a thug,\u201d Beck reportedly said.<\/p>\n

The pair then went on to discuss whether they can use the term \u201cN-word\u201d and backlash quickly ensued online, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou need to get rid of Kimberly and Beck ASAP for their \u2018N-wordish\u2019 and \u2018thug; comments. This is NOT okay,\u201d wrote one Twitter<\/a> user.<\/p>\n

Robert J. Morgan, president of the upstate New York market for iHeartMedia, which broadcasts the show, announced Wednesday that the duo was axed as a result of their remarks, according to the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made the decision to terminate Kimberly and Beck yesterday as soon as we learned of their comments and informed them early this morning,\u201d Morgan said. \u201cWe will not tolerate this kind of behavior, which is antithetical to our core values and beliefs and to our commitment to our community and everyone in it.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
