\n President Trump will continue receiving treatment for the coronavirus at the White House, where he returned Monday after spending three days at the nearby Walter Reed National Medical Center, his doctors said.<\/p>\n

After receiving experimental polyclonal antibodies and oxygen at the White House on Friday, the president was treated at the hospital with the antiviral drug remdesivir and the steroid dexamethasone.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019m better. And maybe I\u2019m immune, I don\u2019t know,\u201d Trump said in a video posted on Twitter<\/a> late Monday. \u201cWe have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines, all developed recently.\u201d<\/p>\n

His doctor Dr. Sean Conley also cautioned that the president \u201cmay not entirely be out of the woods yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Monday evening, Trump received his fourth dose of remdesivir at Walter Reed \u2014 and is expected to get the fifth and final dose at the White House on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He also will continue taking the dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory drug that boosts energy and reduces pain, the outlet reported, though it was unclear how long he would continue taking the steroid, which is normally prescribed for 10 days.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Trump received a single, 8-gram dose of Regeneron\u2019s antibody cocktail, Conley said in a memo released Friday.<\/p>\n

The treatment has shown preliminary effectiveness in reducing the viral load and symptoms of COVID-19 patients by making their body more able to fight off the virus.<\/p>\n

Trump also takes the mineral zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and aspirin, the Daily Mail reported, citing his medical team.<\/p>\n

It was unclear if any of these are specifically meant to treat the coronavirus, and whether the president was continuing to take them in addition to his other treatments, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

Zinc and Vitamin D treat the immune system, but there is no evidence that the supplements can help coronavirus patients, the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n

Famotidine, which reduces stomach acid production, may be useful with coronavirus treatment, the report said.<\/p>\n

Melatonin, a hormone primarily released by the pineal gland that regulates the sleep-wake cycle, is sometimes given as a dietary supplement to treat insomnia.<\/p>\n

And aspirin is a blood thinner that is used to reduce the risk of blood clots. The president\u2019s physicians did not specify whether he was taking blood thinners.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
