\nWe\u2019re still processing the fact that Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em> is coming to an end \u2014 and so is Kim Kardashian West<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Grazia<\/em> magazine, the reality star opened up about her family\u2019s decision to end their juggernaut E!<\/em> series<\/a>. She reiterated that it was an emotional choice, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, it was honestly the most emotional day. The tears. I mean, I think I was crying all weekend. I\u2019ll probably get emotional now on the phone. It was just a really emotional decision. \u2026 [Khlo\u00e9<\/strong> reminded us], \u2018It\u2019s not like we\u2019re dead.\u2019 She said to us, \u2018We\u2019re still here.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Though KKW predicted she\u2019d be \u201ccrying the whole time\u201d when they film their final episode, she seemed at peace with closing this chapter of her life. She explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was a dream of all of ours. We never imagined we would get onto season two. Now we\u2019re on 20. Sometimes we just need a break. It\u2019s really simple. We just need a minute to regroup. You know, we haven\u2019t had a break for 14 years. We\u2019ve gone in filming a season, then a spin off and I think there\u2019s no other way to say it other than, we just live such big lives. And we have kids now. And they need us. There\u2019s so much going on that, even just for a minute we need a break.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While one probably shouldn\u2019t compare KUWTK<\/em> to coronavirus, the SKIMS mogul had similar thoughts about the global pandemic. She shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the type of person that respects the process, that respects what\u2019s going on in the world. \u2026 Maybe our planet needed a break. Maybe we all needed a break. Maybe this was the reset? I try to look at it that way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wait, in this analogy are the is\u00a0KUWTK<\/em> the pollution caused by everyone driving and working all the time..? Best not to dive too deep into that\u2026<\/p>\n

You may be tempted to accuse Kim of being overly optimistic, but remember: she witnessed the disease up close and personal, caring for her husband Kanye West<\/strong> when he was infected. She recounted the difficult time to Grazia<\/em>, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cKanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on. It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no-one else in the house to help. I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn\u2019t feeling good. It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 39-year-old also shared how the Kardashian West household has app<\/a>roached recent civil unrest and social<\/a> movements like Black Lives Matter<\/strong>. Regarding the way she speaks about it with her children, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very open and honest with them. I don\u2019t want to give them too much information that they won\u2019t fully understand and that will give them anxiety. But they obviously sense that there is something going on. You have to keep it together and not be scared yourself. As a parent, your number one goal is to make sure your children feel safe and secure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

After experiencing so much drama this summer \u2014 even more<\/em> drama than usual \u2014 it actually sounds like Kim is really grounded right now. We\u2019re looking forward to seeing what her next chapter has in store!<\/p>\n
