It ended with those two women making quite the power move, one that should change everything moving forward. As we wait for Season 2 to be released, we&#8217;re keeping track of everything you need to know going into it, from the cast members returning to what we know about its plot.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_did_Season_1_leave_off\"><\/span>Where did Season 1 leave off?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the middle of a broadcast, Alex and Bradley tell viewers at home the truth about their workplace, including the women who were silenced after coming forward with allegations of sexual misconduct. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/steve-carell\">Steve Carell&#8217;s<\/a> anchor Mitch Kessler had been fired after he was accused by multiple women, but he wasn&#8217;t the only one who had to be held responsible. Executive producer Chip Black (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/mark-duplass\">Mark Duplass<\/a>) ended up the fall guy in the internal investigation and was fired.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Has_filming_started_yet_on_Season_2\"><\/span>Has filming started yet on Season 2?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em>The Morning Show<\/em> was one of the TV shows in production (on the first two episodes) when the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down in March. Now, filming is set to resume on October 19,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2020\/10\/the-morning-show-resume-production-season-2-steve-carell-returning-jennifer-aniston-reese-witherspoon-apple-1234590639\/\"><em>Deadline<\/em><\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_will_new_episodes_be_released\"><\/span>When will new episodes be released?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Apple TV+ series does not have a return date yet, but it will probably premiere some time in 2021.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whos_returning\"><\/span>Who&#8217;s returning?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Almost everyone from the Season 1 cast \u2014 except for Gugu Mbatha-Raw, whose character, talent booker Hannah Schoenfeld, had been assaulted by Mitch and overdosed \u2014 is back. So that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re in the process of doing,&#8221; Ehrin said. &#8220;It has been a huge eye-opening and emotional time that I think is going to be present in so many artists&#8217; work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Duplass spoke of Ehrin rewriting scripts with TV Insider in July &#8220;in order to have the show reflect more accurately what is happening in our world right now,&#8221; he said, admitting, &#8220;I don&#8217;t even know what that means in terms of pandemic, in terms of the Black Lives Matter movement. But I personally am very excited to see a white cis male, who used to have power, figure out what his place in the world is now because that&#8217;s one way to make the white male story interesting right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After the Season 1 finale, Ehrin told\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/live-feed\/morning-show-cliffhanger-finale-season-2-kerry-ehrin-interview-1263418\"><em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> that &#8220;Season 2 is a lot about transition&#8221; and a broadcast network when &#8220;the world of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> is changing.&#8221; Furthermore, it will explore the fact that Alex and Bradly &#8220;don&#8217;t really know each other as people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As for the returning Carell, Mitch is going to &#8220;still be the same guy, he&#8217;s just going to have more awareness that he is not a good guy,&#8221; the executive producer said. &#8220;It&#8217;s not about a comeback.
