Martin&#8217;s book <em>Fire &amp; Blood <\/em>which is about House Targaryen&#8217;s history. When fans first entered Westeros through <em>Thrones<\/em>, Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) held the throne as King of the Seven Kingdoms, and now viewers will be able to see the Targaryens in power as Daenerys&#8217; (Emilia Clarke) ancestors rule the land.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_should_you_know_about_the_series\"><\/span>What should you know about the series?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal are at the helm of <em>House of the Dragon<\/em> as co-creators with <em>Thrones<\/em>&#8216; Miguel Sapochnik signed on as showrunner alongside Condal.
