\n One man was killed and three others wounded in a shooting inside a Brooklyn building that\u2019s known as a local gambling den, police sources and neighbors said.<\/p>\n

The gunfire rang out just after 10 p.m. during a large fight in the first-floor back room of a decrepit brick building on Hegeman Avenue near Osborn Street in Brownsville, police and sources said.<\/p>\n

A man in his 30s who was shot in the chest died, police said.<\/p>\n

Three other men struck by bullets, ages 31, 32 and 44, were hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the shooting was sparked over gambling, police sources said.<\/p>\n

A 50-year-old local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said the location is a well-known spot for neighborhood gamblers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey always gambling inside,\u201d said the man, who also identified himself as a gambler. \u201cDay and night, they be gambling \u2014 dice, they play poker and the Cee-lo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFriday and Saturday night you can\u2019t even walk inside it\u2019s so crowded,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The man added that the stakes inside the hangout range from as low to a few bucks to thousands of dollars.<\/p>\n

No arrests were made as of early Thursday and police said they didn\u2019t immedia<\/a>tely have any suspects in the shooting.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
