\n New body camera footage released by California cops shows officers rushing to perform CPR on a man who died after choking himself with a seat belt while in police custody last month.<\/p>\n

In the disturbing footage, Emilio Villa Mora, of Mexico, can first be seen running from Modesto Police officers while shouting \u201cI\u2019m not doing nothing!\u201d on Sept. 27.<\/p>\n

Officers then chase down Mora \u2014 who was was suspected of trying break into a home and multiple cars \u2014 and cuffed him and on the ground as he shouts, \u201cI can\u2019t breathe!\u201d video released by Modesto Police<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n

After police load him into the cop car, the footage then cuts to an officer finding Mora slumped over and unconscious in the back of the vehicle \u2014 with a seat belt wrapp<\/a>ed around his neck.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet a knife! We gotta pull him out and start CPR!\u201d the officer shouts, before performing the safety measure.<\/p>\n

Mora was rushed to a hospital, where he died last week, according to The Modesto Bee.<\/a><\/p>\n

Police also released 911 calls made by Mora earlier in the day, in which he claims \u201cthe cartel\u201d is \u201ctrying to kill\u201d him,\u00a0 leading police to believe he was suffering from a mental health or drug-related episode.<\/p>\n

Modesto Police spokesman said the department released the \u201cdifficult\u201d footage \u201cin effort to remain transparent.\u201d<\/p>\n
