There hasn\u2019t been much talk about Don\u2019t Breathe 2<\/em><\/strong>, which is reportedly titled\u00a0Don\u2019t Breathe Again<\/em><\/strong>, lately. But now it turns out that the film might already be finished filming? At the very least, star Stephen Lang<\/strong> has wrapped production on the sequel, which implies that if filming\u00a0isn\u2019t<\/em> done yet, it\u2019s damn near close. Rodo Sayagues<\/strong>\u00a0directs the follow-up, which he co-wrote with\u00a0Don\u2019t Breathe<\/em> director\u00a0Fede \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nWell, this is a surprise!\u00a0Don\u2019t Breathe 2<\/em> was supposedly set to start shooting in April of this year but then word came that the shoot was delayed. But apparently, it wasn\u2019t delayed for very long, because star Stephen Lang just revealed on social media<\/a> that he\u2019s wrapped filming. Since Lang is likely a major character again, this implies that filming on the sequel is all but done. Unless, of course, Lang has a very small part to play this time \u2013 but that doesn\u2019t seem likely.<\/p>\n

Very little is known about\u00a0Don\u2019t Breathe 2<\/em>. We know that original director\u00a0Fede \u00c1lvarez has handed directorial duties over to\u00a0Rodo Sayagues. And we know that producer Sam Raimi is\u00a0really<\/em> excited about it, telling IGN: \u201cIt\u2019s only the greatest idea for a sequel I\u2019ve ever heard. I\u2019m not kidding.\u201d In that same interview,\u00a0\u00c1lvarez added:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenge obviously is we just don\u2019t want to do the same movie again and just have 2 in it. We\u2019ll feel so embarrassed if we do that. At first our reaction when they told us was no no no no no that\u2019s Hollywood, that\u2019s the devil pushing us to do something just because we can. And then we had an idea that we got really excited about, we won\u2019t tell you what it is, it\u2019ll spoil the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u00c1lvarez also<\/em> said:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to see a character you want to see more out of it. At least I do. I\u2019d love to see the blind man on the screen do some other things. What\u2019s going to happen with him in his life?\u201d This certainly indicates that Lang\u2019s blind man character plays a major part, which brings us back to the start of this story: filming is either completed or close to it.
\nThe first\u00a0Don\u2019t Breathe<\/em> involved a group of young home invaders who think they\u2019ve found an easy score, only to discover that the blind man they\u2019re robbing is\u00a0very<\/em> skilled at murdering people. It\u2019s a well-made film, although there\u2019s an icky twist that kind of sinks the entire endeavor, at least in my humble opinion. Still, I\u2019m curious to see what the heck this sequel will be about in the end. Hopefully, we\u2019ll learn more soon.<\/p>\n
