\n A Minneapolis police dispatcher became so alarmed when she watched George Floyd\u2019s arrest in real time that she called in a supervisor, according to reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, you can call me a snitch if you want to, but we have the cameras up for (squad) 320\u2019s call, and\u2026 I don\u2019t know if they had to use force or not, but they got something out of the back of the squad, and all of them sat on this man,\u201d the unnamed dispatcher said in a call to the supervisor, the Star-Tribune reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I don\u2019t know if they needed you or not, but they haven\u2019t said anything to me,\u201d the dispatcher said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d the supervisor responded, \u201cthey haven\u2019t said anything yet\u2026 just a takedown, which doesn\u2019t count, but I\u2019ll find out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo problem,\u201d the dispatcher answered. \u201cWe don\u2019t get to ever see it, so when we see it we\u2019re just like, well, that looks a little different.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tapes were released Monday by Minneapolis officials amid continuing protests over the May 25 death of Floyd after being pinned down by city police officers for nearly nine minutes while pleading for air.<\/p>\n

The dispatcher was watching the arrest on a live camera outside of Cup Foods, where police confronted Floyd over his alleged attempt to pass a counterfeit $20 bill, Fox9-TV said in a report.<\/p>\n

The city also released transcript<\/a>s of two 911 calls from residents who watched Floyd\u2019s death, the station said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello, I am on the block of 38th and Chicago and I literally watched police officers not take a pulse and not do anything to save a man, and I am a first responder myself,\u201d one caller said. \u201cI just happened to be on a walk so, this dude, this, they f\u2014\u2013g killed him.\u201d<\/p>\n

All four police officers at the scene, including ex-cop Derek Chauvin \u2014 who is seen on viral video pressing his knee to the back of Floyd\u2019s neck while he is handcuffed and lying face down on the street \u2014 were fired and hit with criminal charges.<\/p>\n

It is unclear if the supervisor contacted by the dispatcher went to the scene \u2014 police dispatch information shows that the first supervisor to arrive at the scene was Sgt. David Pleoger, who got there 37 minutes after police first took Floyd into custody, the Star Tribune said.<\/p>\n

Under Minneapolis police guidelines, an officer who uses force while on duty is required to notify a supervisor to respond to the scene, the outlet said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
