“#Dizzee Rascal to be Awarded MBE Honor by British Empire<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Dizzee Rascal has been named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) as part of the Queen\u2019s Birthday Honours, as the BBC<\/a> reports. The grime pioneer has been made an MBE for his services to music. (\u201cLovely stuff<\/a>,\u201d he wrote on Instagram.) Electric Light Orchestra co-founder Jeff Lynne will also be made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). \u201cI am extremely humbled and grateful to be awarded this honour for my services to music. To be recognised for my work is an extraordinary privilege,\u201d he wrote on his Instagram account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last year, M.I.A. was made an MBE, while Elvis Costello was named an OBE. Dizzee Rascal\u2019s new album E3 AF<\/em> is due out October 30.<\/p>\n
