\nPoor Simon<\/strong> Cowell<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The former\u00a0American Idol<\/em> judge and current talent evaluation specialist on\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> is going to need a few more weeks to be evaluated by doctors, as he continues to recover from that horrific bike injury. As we reported at the time, Cowell was injured severely in an e-bike accident at his home in Malibu over the summer, and may be out from filming for quite a while now.<\/p>\n

The news<\/a> comes via\u00a0The Sun<\/em>, which is also reporting that the worldwide-popular judge of talent is furthermore \u201ccurrently on a regimen of very strong painkillers and must remain confined largely to his bed.\u201d There, they say, he is pretty much exclusively being treated by nurses around the clock, too. Wow. Sounds serious!!<\/p>\n

As you may recall, back in August, fellow\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> co-star\u00a0Howie Mandel<\/strong> reported that his buddy Simon was \u201cdoing spectacularly well, considering\u201d and confirmed that the English-born star was already walking around, even. But app<\/a>arently things have taken a turn for the worse on this one, because as\u00a0The Sun<\/em> is now reporting, Cowell will likely be out of commission \u201cfor at least six more months,\u201d and \u201che is in a lot of pain\u201d \u2014 enough so that he\u2019s likely not even able to record messages for\u00a0AGT<\/em> from his bed. Wow!<\/p>\n

A source spoke more about the whole ordeal with the outlet, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a rough few weeks. Simon\u2019s a fighter and fairly gung-ho. Naturally, he thought he\u2019d be out of action for a few weeks and then, if not doing iron man contests, at least be back on the showbiz circuit. Instead, he\u2019s had a setback from surgery to fuse two vertebrae and it has proven more complicated than a standard break. Simon is joking and in decent spirits. But he\u2019s also quite vain and the idea of going on national TV with no studio make-up, and while on heavy-duty medication, didn\u2019t appeal. So, unfortunately, he had to decline producers\u2019 requests.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Awww. That last part is too bad as far as the fans are concerned, but also very understandable. It\u2019s not exactly the right time for all of this, anyways.<\/p>\n

Focus on getting healthy and getting back to normal, Simon!<\/p>\n

For the time being, at least, it appears he\u2019ll remain in Malibu alongside girlfriend\u00a0Lauren Silverman<\/strong> and 6-year-old son\u00a0Eric<\/strong>, where he will continue to rest up and get on the mend.<\/p>\n
