\n A retired astrophysics professor who now suffers from advanced Parkinsons and amnesia murdered his wife with two blasts from a shotgun in their Washington State home \u2014 but remembered to call cops afterward, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Thomas Jarboe, 75, called 911 before dawn on Thursday and told dispatchers, \u201cI shot her,\u201d Bellevue Police told Seattle\u2019s KOMO News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cops and medics rushed to the home, and found Jarboe waiting for them on the front porch.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe man came out of the house willingly and turned himself in to the officers,\u201d police spokesperson Meeghan Black told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they went inside, they found his wife deceased inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jarboe told cops that victim Kay Saw, 63, was his wife and \u201cabusive\u201d caretaker, KOMO News reported Friday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was on purpose but in self-defense,\u201d he allegedly told the 911 operator of shooting Saw with a 12-gauge.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has been abusing me. She is my caretaker. And is completely destroying me,\u201d he allegedly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hates all my kids, my kids all hate her.\u201d<\/p>\n

A neighbor told the station that he often heard hollering from the couple\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

\u201cOften times yelling about medications. Not taking medications,\u201d said the neighbor, Mike Hopkins.<\/p>\n

Then early Thursday, \u201cWe heard the two gun shots.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jarboe, an emeritus professor from the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department at the University of Washington, is being held in lieu of $2.5 million bail.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
