{"id":86699,"date":"2020-10-11T09:41:12","date_gmt":"2020-10-11T06:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/child-burned-after-falling-into-yellowstone-thermal-feature\/"},"modified":"2020-10-11T09:41:12","modified_gmt":"2020-10-11T06:41:12","slug":"child-burned-after-falling-into-yellowstone-thermal-feature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/child-burned-after-falling-into-yellowstone-thermal-feature\/","title":{"rendered":"#Child burned after falling into Yellowstone thermal feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Child burned after falling into Yellowstone thermal feature<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/Midway-Geyser-Basin.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n                        A 3-year-old child is being treated for second-degree burns after falling into scalding water at a hot springs site in Yellowstone National Park Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe child took off running from the trail, slipped and then fell into a small thermal feature,\u201d said a statement <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/yell\/learn\/news\/10092020.htm\">issued by the National Park Service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors described the second-degree burns to be concentrated\u00a0on the lower body and back.<\/p>\n<p>The child was flown to the burn unit at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>Yellowstone, which opened in 1872, covers almost 3,500 square miles, is famous for its geysers and hot springs.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have described the ground around these features as \u201d breakable crust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time that someone has been injured by scalding water at the park.<\/p>\n<p>In March a woman was injured when she accidentally fell into Old Faithful while trying to take a picture.<\/p>\n<p>The woman had entered the park illegally while it was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Yellowstone has stressed the importance of remaining on boardwalks and trails;
