\n TV game show host Tom Kennedy has died at the age of 93.<\/p>\n

His daughter Courtney and nephew Ben confirmed to Fox News<\/a> that Kennedy \u2014 born James Edward Narz \u2014 died on Wednesday in his Oxnard, California home. The cause of death is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe passed away peacefully,\u201d said Ben.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was known best as the host of \u201cName That Tune\u201d and \u201cYou Don\u2019t Say!\u201d<\/p>\n

Variety<\/a> reports that Kennedy moved to Los Angeles from Louisville, Ky. to pursue a career in broadcasting, and after working in radio, he began hosting game shows in the 1950s.<\/p>\n

In order to avoid confusion with his brother, also a host, he changed his name to Tom Kennedy.<\/p>\n

Aside from \u201cName That Tune\u201d (1974-1981) and \u201cYou Don\u2019t Say!\u201d (1963-1969), the television personality was known for hosting \u201cSplit Second\u201d (1972-1975) and \u201cPassword Plus\u201d (1980-1982).\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, he hosted a syndicated nighttime edition of \u201cThe Price is Right\u201d in the \u201980s and briefly had his own talk show.<\/p>\n

Eventually, Kennedy would retire and earn the\u00a0Game Show Congress\u2019 Bill Cullen award for lifetime achievement, the outlet reports.<\/p>\n

The star also had an acting career with a handful of film, television and stage credits to his name.<\/p>\n

Kennedy\u2019s children Linda Ann Narz, James Narz Jr. and Courtney Ellen Narz survive him, as does his granddaughter\u00a0Abigail Norah Narz and his sister, Mary Lovett Scully.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was married to his wife Betty, who passed away in 2011. They also had a daughter, Julia, who passed away in 2015.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
