“#Amazon pulls plug on ‘Crucible’ after less than six months<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Amazon\u2019s ambitious shooting game<\/a> \u201cCrucible<\/a>\u201d has been unceremoniously pulled off the market just 5 months after its release.<\/p>\n

The free-to-play game, which was meant to compete with mega-hits like \u201cFortnite,\u201d was first launched in May after being in development since 2016, but was quickly pulled back into beta after being panned by reviewers.<\/p>\n

In a blog post<\/a>, the development team at Amazon Games said that after evaluating feedback from gamers, it had decided to pull the plug on the project.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe very much app<\/a>reciate the way that our fans have rallied around our efforts, and we\u2019ve loved seeing your responses to the changes we\u2019ve made over the last few months, but ultimately we didn\u2019t see a healthy, sustainable future ahead of Crucible,\u201d the post reads.<\/p>\n

The developers working on the game will be shifted to other projects, including the \u201cWorld of Warcraft\u201d style massive multiplayer game \u201cNew World\u201d which is set to be released next year.<\/p>\n

Users who have already spent money on in-game purchases will be fully refunded, Amazon said, and they will still have access to the game until Nov. 9.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
