\n An Idaho fugitive was captured in Oregon last Thursday after he called police claiming he had been bitten by a rattlesnake, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Ryan Paul Henry, 33, reported the bite to authorities and also told them he was lost in the Hells Canyon area of Oregon, according to the Baker County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Henry, who had a warrant out for his arrest for violating parole, at first gave police a wrong name, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

After learning his real identity, the sheriff\u2019s office assembled a team of deputies and US Forest Service officers to locate Henry.<\/p>\n

When the fugitive was found, there was no indication he had suffered a snake bite, the Wallowa County Chieftain<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

Henry was taken to Baker County Jail and held there on the Idaho warrant.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
