\n NBCUniversal has ousted top reality TV exec Meredith Ahr following an investigation into claims that she and former NBC entertainment president Paul Telegdy cultivated a toxic culture at the network.<\/p>\n

No replacement for Ahr, who headed up the studio\u2019s reality TV division, has been named.<\/p>\n

Ahr\u2019s departure follows damning allegations<\/a> published by The Hollywood Reporter accusing Telegdy and Ahr, his right-hand exec, of bullying employees and talent. Following the report, Telegdy was let go and the network said it would hire an investigator to look into the allegations.<\/p>\n

The Post reported last month that NBCU has been quietly interviewing candidates to replace Ahr, suggesting a replacement could be named soon.<\/p>\n

According to a subsequent THR report Monday, the NBCU investigator interviewed more than 60 current and former network employees and found that Telegdy and Ahr\u2019s behavior was \u201cnot in line with standards the company expects, especially from its senior leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

NBCU did not respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n

According to THR\u2019s initial report from July 31, over 30 former and current employees claimed that the two TV execs ran a \u201cmean girls club\u201d with Telegdy setting the tone by mocking gay staffers, telling sexually explicit personal stories during meetings and making racially insensitive remarks.<\/p>\n

Last November, actress Gabrielle Union, a former judge on NBC\u2019s \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent,\u201d filed a harassment lawsuit that accused the network of being \u201ca snake pit of racial offenses,\u201d and claimed she was\u00a0axed from the show<\/a>\u00a0when she complained.<\/p>\n

At the time, NBCU denied the claims, but last month, the network said it negotiated a settlement<\/a> with Union.<\/p>\n

In recent months, NBCU has been in the throes of a reorganization that has led to massive layoffs and a restructuring of its executive ranks. The company promoted longtime exec Frances Berwick to lead the entertainment business and it lured away Susan Rovner, a Warner Bros. TV exec, to oversee all programming for NBCU earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Sources told The Post that even before Rovner officially joined NBCU, the network was circling the exec\u2019s\u00a0Warner Bros. colleague, Michael Darnell, to replace Ahr.<\/p>\n

Darnell, who runs unscript<\/a>ed & alternative TV, has been dubbed in the press \u201cthe king of reality TV\u201d and brought \u201cAmerican Idol,\u201d \u201cSo You Think You Can Dance?\u201d and \u201cFamily Guy\u201d\u00a0 to the small screen while working at Fox in the early aughts.<\/p>\n

Warner Bros. denied that Darnell is in talks to leave the company and Darnell did not return requests seeking comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
