\n \u201cTwo and a Half Men\u201d star Conchata Ferrell died Monday after complications following a cardiac arrest. She was 77.<\/p>\n

While rumors swirled online that Ferrell had died on August 8 from a heart attack<\/a>, t<\/span>he \u201cL.A. Law\u201d actress passed away surrounded by family October 12 at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks, California, Deadline reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ferrell, who was nominated for three Emmy Awards during her career, was best known for playing housekeeper Berta on the CBS show \u201cTwo and a Half Men\u201d alongside Jon Cryer, Charlie Sheen and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a beautiful human,\u201d Cryer, 55, said in a statement<\/a> on Twitter<\/a>. \u201cBerta\u2019s gruff exterior was an invention of the writers. Chatty\u2019s warmth and vulnerability were her real strengths. I\u2019m crying for the woman I\u2019ll miss, and the joy she brought so many.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferrell, who began her career on the stage in off-Broadway productions, also starred in Netflix\u2019s \u201cThe Ranch,\u201d and her film credits include \u201cNetwork,\u201d \u201cMystic Pizza,\u201d \u201cTrue Romance,\u201d \u201cErin Brockovich,\u201d \u201cEdward Scissorhands\u201d and \u201cKrampus.\u201d She was slated to app<\/a>ear in the upcoming feature \u201cDeported,\u201d according to Deadline.<\/p>\n

In July, Ferrell was moved into a long-term care facility after more than a month in the intensive care unit, TMZ reported at the time<\/a>, following a cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her husband, Arnie Anderson, and her daughter, Samantha.<\/p>\n
