\n Kottonmouth Kings rapper Saint Dog, whose real name is Steven Thronson, has died. He was 44.<\/p>\n

His management confirmed his passing on social media<\/a> Wednesday, noting he died the previous day.<\/p>\n

\u201cRest In Peace, Rest In Power to a true underground legend,\u201d the statement read<\/a>. \u201cSaint Dog a\u2009k\u2009a Saint Vicious passed away yesterday in Southern California. Saint was a unique individual that had a profound impact on anyone he came in contact with. While Saint is no longer with us, his music will live on forever. Rest easy, King.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thronson was reportedly found dead at a friend\u2019s house in Victorville, California, according to TMZ<\/a>, citing law enforcement sources. The report said a friend found him struggling to breathe in a bedroom early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

No cause of death was given, but there were no signs of foul play, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

Saint Dog was one of the founding members of hip-hop trio Kottonmouth Kings with D-Loc and Johnny Richter. The group\u2019s origins are tied to Southern California in the late \u201990s and they often rapped about marijuana legalization.<\/p>\n

In 1998, Kottonmouth Kings released their first EP<\/a>, aptly titled \u201cStoners Reeking Havoc,\u201d and their first studio album \u201cRoyal Highness\u201d with Capitol Records and Suburban Noize Records.<\/p>\n

Thronson appeared on several releases with the group, his last being 1999\u2019s \u201cHidden Stash,\u201d before reuniting with Kottonmouth Kings\u2019 founding members on the 2018 album \u201cKingdom Come.\u201d He embarked on a solo career and his <\/span>third and final solo album<\/a> \u201cBozo\u201d was released in 2019 with Suburban Noize Records and Force 5 Records.<\/span>\n <\/div>\n
