Ultimate, or SSBU, has signed a contract with SBI e-Sports, the gaming arm of Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings. Ken is also\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/liquipedia.net\/smash\/KEN_(Wii_U_player)\">considered<\/a> to be the world\u2019s best Sonic player.<\/p>\n<p>According to an official <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sbiesports.co.jp\/newstopic-team1\/\">announcement<\/a> posted by SBI on Oct. 15, Ken will now be part of SBI e-Sports\u2019 newly established SSBU division. The player will receive his annual salary in XRP instead of the Japanese yen, \u201cbased on wishes of the player and the sponsorship\u201d with SBI VC Trade, SBI\u2019s crypto-focused venture capital arm.<\/p>\n<p>In an Oct. 15 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KENisbg\/status\/1316565669668765696?s=20\">tweet<\/a>, Ken confirmed that he now belongs to the SSBU division of SBI e-Sports.<\/p>\n<p>SBI e-Sports is a new professional esports subsidiary of SBI <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.financemagnates.com\/fintech\/sbi-holdings-enters-into-esports-space-launches-sbi-e-sports\/\">launched<\/a> in June 2020.
