“#Twitter<\/a> has me at ‘gunpoint’ to delete Biden story<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tore into Twitter for locking her account \u2014 saying the administrators \u201cessentially have me at gunpoint\u201d until she deletes the post she shared of the New York Post\u2019s Hunter Biden story.<\/p>\n

McEnany was among the Twitter users blocked from spreading The Post\u2019s exclusive front-page story on Biden\u2019s alleged hard drive \u2014 and an email linking Joe Biden to his son\u2019s job at a Ukrainian energy company \u2014 with the social media site claiming \u201chacked materials\u201d were used in the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a temporary blockage,\u201d McEnany told Fox News host Sean Hannity<\/a> on Wednesday night. \u201cWhen I log on to my Twitter account, it says I\u2019m permanently banned. They essentially have me at gunpoint and said unless you delete a news<\/a> story by the New York Post, I cannot regain access to my account.\u201d<\/p>\n

When she attempted to tweet the Post\u2019s story, McEnany got a message from Twitter that said, \u201cYour account has been blocked. We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules. Specifically, for: Violating our rules against distribution of hacked material.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is censorship. This is not the American way,\u201d she told Hannity. \u201d This is not how a freedom-loving democracy operates. We have to have to hold Twitter accountable, and Facebook too, who is banning the transmission of this story simply because ideologically it hurts the side of the aisle that Silicon Valley prefers. It\u2019s sad, it\u2019s censorship, [and] this is not America.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cMake no mistake, if they can ban the press secretary of the United States for President Trump, they can ban you, as a citizen, and that is pathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday night, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that \u201cblocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we\u2019re blocking: unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Facebook also limited the spread of the story on its platform.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
