<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>       Twitter Inc. will change its hacked materials policy after causing an uproar Wednesday by blocking an unsubstantiated New York Post article about Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<p> That caused a cry of outrage from conservatives, who claimed Twitter<br \/>\n        TWTR,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203180645\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.10%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       was biased and censoring the article.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       In a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of tweets Thursday night, Vijaya Gadde, Twitter\u2019s global lead for legal, policy, and trust and safety, said:  \u201cWe\u2019ve received significant feedback (from critical to supportive) about how we enforced our Hacked Materials Policy yesterday. After reflecting on this feedback, we have decided to make changes to the policy and how we enforce it.\u201d<\/p>\n<div data-layout=\"inline\n              \" data-layout-mobile=\"\" class=\"\n        media-object\n        type-InsetTweet\n          inline\n    scope-web|mobileapps\n  article__inset\n        article__inset--type-InsetTweet\n          article__inset--inline\n  \"><\/p>\n<div class=\"dynamic-inset-container article__inset__dynamic\">\n<style>\n            iframe.twitter-tweet {\n                width: 100% !important;\n            }\n        <\/style>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n            <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/vijaya\/status\/1316923550733881344\"><\/a>\n            <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>        <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>        The two major changes will be:<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Twitter will no longer remove  hacked content unless it is directly shared by hackers  or by those working with hackers.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Twitter will label tweets to provide context instead of blocking links from being shared.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe believe that labeling tweets and empowering people to assess content for themselves better serves the public interest and public conversation,\u201d Gadde said.  \u201cAll the other Twitter rules will still <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ly to the posting of or linking to hacked materials, such as our rules against posting private information, synthetic and manipulated media, and non-consensual nudity.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Twitter said the Post article had been blocked because it included images of personal email addresses, in violation of its hacked materials policy.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the rule changes, the Post article will apparently remain blocked, since it still displays images containing private information.<\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jack\/status\/1316528193621327876\" class=\"icon none\">tweeted late Wednesday<\/a> that  \u201cOur communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we\u2019re blocking: unacceptable.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Earlier Thursday night, Twitter was hit by a roughly 90-minute outage that prevented users from tweeting.
