Here\u2019s how to change how it works.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on how you have your Start Menu configured, a full-screen Start menu looks something like this. As expected, it covers the entire screen (but not the taskbar), and you can change between a \u201cpinned tiles\u201d view and an \u201call <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>s\u201d view using the buttons in the upper-left corner.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a lot like Windows 8\u2019s Start screen\u2014a big full-screen canvas where you can place all your shortcut tiles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-694734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/xfull_screen_start.jpg.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+ws+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.ISOj2Qkx2R.jpg\" alt=\"A full screen Start menu in Windows 10\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>To configure whether you see the full-screen Start menu in desktop mode or not, you\u2019ll need to make a change in Windows Settings.<\/p>\n<p>First, open \u201cSettings\u201d by clicking the \u201cStart\u201d menu and selecting the \u201cGear\u201d icon on the left. While your PC is in tablet mode, it will always show a full-screen Start menu.<\/p>\n<p>To quickly disable tablet mode, open the \u201cAction Center\u201d by clicking or tapping the notifications button in the far corner of the taskbar.
