Yet, nobody is <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaching this as a way to rewrite the history of everything that already happened.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a new interview as a part of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/tvs-top-5\/id1438063915?l=nl\">THR Top 5 Podcast<\/a>, executive producer Clyde Phillips (who is returning to the series after not being a part of the final seasons) explained that there are no plans for the writers to just pretend as though the original, controversial ending didn\u2019t happen:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cWe\u2019re not undoing anything \u2026 We\u2019re not going to betray the audience and say, \u2018Whoops, that was all a dream.\u2019 What happened in the first eight years happened in the first eight years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This does mean that Dexter Morgan\u00a0<em>did\u00a0<\/em>leave Miami and live what seemed to be a solitary life as a lumberjack \u2026 or at least he did for a time. The important thing to remember here is that the original finale took place many years ago, and we have a feeling that a lot has happened in Dexter\u2019s life since then. He may not be in the same place.<\/p>\n<p>The largest question mark that we\u2019ve got at the moment pertains to Dexter\u2019s sister Debra, who was seemingly killed off in the finale. Yet, we think that Jennifer Carpenter is so iconic to the series that it\u2019s pretty hard to imagine the revival without her. How can the writers find a way to include her \u2026 if they possibly can?<\/p>\n<p>One more thing \u2014 based on what we saw from Phillips in his podcast, we don\u2019t get the sense that the new series is going to be leading into a bunch of other chapters.
