Famous horror novelist Stephen King mocked the controversial conservative Iowa congressman who shares his name \u2014 saying he\u2019s the stronger King \u2014 after the pol was voted out of the House Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIowa Steve King lost. I am the last Steve King standing. (Takes a bow),\u201d the writer tweeted.<\/p>\n

The legendary author of \u201cIt\u201d and \u201cThe Stand\u201d was weighing in on news<\/a> that the nine-term Republican \u2014 who has been shunned for his history of racist remarks \u2014 lost his bid for renomination.<\/p>\n

At a town hall in May, the congressman argued Western culture was superior to others, saying, \u201cif we presume that every culture is equal and has an equal amount to contribute to our civilization, then we\u2019re devaluing the contributions of the people that laid the foundation for America and that\u2019s our Founding Fathers.\u201d<\/p>\n

In January, he also questioned why the term \u201cwhite supremacist\u201d was racist in an interview with the New York Times. His 17-year congressional career was also defined by his strong anti-immigration stance.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, some fans of the novelist took to Twitter<\/a> to celebrate the congressman\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe comparison is obvious: one man was the author of an unmitigated horror show. The other was novelist Stephen King,\u201d one observer quipped.<\/p>\n

Another added, \u201cYou\u2019re the better Steve King standing.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
