Here\u2019s how to set up Nintendo\u2019s official peripherals in\u00a0the Dolphin Wii and GameCube emulator for PC.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Youll_Need\"><\/span>What You\u2019ll Need<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To use a real Nintendo GameCube controller with Dolphin, here\u2019s what you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An official Nintendo GameCube Controller.<\/strong> While unofficial options work, they are much worse in build quality. Additionally, you might find that some controllers that\u00a0<em>look<\/em> like GC pads but are actually Switch Pro Controllers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A USB GameCube Controller Adapter<\/strong>. We recommend either <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Nintendo-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-without-English\/dp\/B07HC15QNZ\/?tag=hotoge-20\">Nintendo\u2019s official adapter<\/a> or the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Mayflash-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Switch\/dp\/B00RSXRLUE\/?tag=hotoge-20\">MayFlash Adapter<\/a> for the best results. If the adapter is wired and works with the Switch or Wii U, chances are it\u2019ll work here, too.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zadig.akeo.ie\/\">Zadig<\/a><\/strong>. This is the application you\u2019ll need to get your Gamecube controller set up properly with Dolphin. <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download<\/a> it for free.<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/AmazonBasics-USB-10-Port-Power-Adapter\/dp\/B076YN6CSG\/?tag=hotoge-20\"><strong>A Powered USB Hub (Optional)<\/strong><\/a>. This isn\u2019t necessary if your laptop or desktop has free slots for both the USB cables, but is necessary if it doesn\u2019t. For vibration to work properly and to ensure the best performance, make sure that both adapter cords are plugged in and have stable power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To use an official Nintendo Wii Remote (Wiimote) with Dolphin, you\u2019ll need the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An official Nintendo Wii Remote<\/strong>, ideally with MotionPlus built-in. Third-party options are\u00a0not guaranteed to work with Dolphin, even if they work on the Wii.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A PC with a compatible Bluetooth adapter.<\/strong>\u00a0Newer is better.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A powered Wii sensor bar.<\/strong> You can use your original sensor bar plugged into a running Wii, a battery-powered <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Replacement-Wii-Wireless-Nintendo-Batteries-U\/dp\/B07W92TK7D\/?tag=hotoge-20\">Wireless sensor bar<\/a>, or a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Nextronics-Sensor-Bar-USB-Emulator\/dp\/B001UAAX60?tag=hotoge-20\">USB sensor bar<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Set_Up_a_Real_GameCube_Controller_in_Dolphin\"><\/span>How to Set Up a Real GameCube Controller in Dolphin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First, if you\u2019re using a non-official Adapter that offers a toggle between \u201cWii U\u201d and \u201cPC\u201d modes, switch it to \u201cWii U.\u201d Dolphin has native support for the GameCube Controller Adapter once you have installed the proper driver, so feel free to ignore the PC mode unless you wish to use the controller in other applications. If you\u2019re using an official Switch or Wii U adapter, skip this step.<\/p>\n<p>Plug in your adapter and open <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zadig.akeo.ie\/\">Zadig<\/a>. This is your adapter!<\/p>\n<p>Look at the \u201cUSB ID\u201d field below the Driver box. Verify the USB ID displayed here is \u201c0573 0337\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning:<\/strong> If the wrong USB ID is displayed here, do not continue. Your adapter will not work and you might risk damaging it by continuing.<\/p>\n<p>If everything looks correct (like the screencap below), click the box to the right of the orange arrow and select the \u201cWinUSB\u201d driver. Just make sure that your sensor bar is plugged in and your Wii Remote\u2019s batteries are charged. After about 20 seconds or less, your Wii remote will connect to Dolphin. IR Sensitivity, Speaker Volume, and Rumble can also be adjusted here, and work in the same way as they do on an actual Wii. You are now ready to play your games!<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve finished playing, you will need to manually remove a battery from your Wii Remote to power it off.
