“#Watch Jarvis Cocker Cover the Velvet Underground and the Fall for Barbican Exhibition<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Jarvis Cocker\u2019s group JARV IS\u2026 performed a series<\/a> of covers for an exhibition<\/a> about dancer and choreographer Michael Clark at the Barbican, as NME<\/em><\/a> notes. The set included versions of the Velvet Underground\u2019s \u201cVenus in Furs,\u201d the Fall\u2019s \u201cBig New Prinz,\u201d Cocker\u2019s own \u201cFurther Complications,\u201d and \u201cHouse Music All Night Long,\u201d from the band\u2018s July debut Beyond the Pale<\/em>. The Barbican exhibition is celebrates Scottish choreographer and dancer Michael Clark. In a statement about Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer<\/em><\/a>, Jarivs Cocker said, \u201cTake a look for yourself. Walk around, and slowly it will start to dawn on you, as it did on me: Dance is the language of the human body. And nobody speaks it better than Michael Clark.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with the Barbican performance, JARV IS\u2026 have announced UK screenings of their film BEYOND THE PALE\u2026 LIVE FROM THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH<\/em><\/a>.
