\n Nothing says spooky season like conspiracy-themed Halloween costumes.<\/p>\n

Amazon is hawking QAnon wares to children, like \u201cQ\u201d-adorned capes<\/a> and witch hats<\/a>, just in time for trick or treating. One cloak<\/a> is polyester and features a massive \u201cQ\u201d in an American flag motif. The letter is shorthand for the group that believes in the \u201cdeep state\u201d and spreads false claims, including that celebs like Oprah<\/a> and Tom Hanks are part of an elite circle of child sex-traffickers.<\/p>\n

One item for sale, called the \u201cDeepstate Hooded Cape Cloak,\u201d costs $21.88 and features a fiery \u201cQ\u201d and \u201cQanon\u201d scrolled on the bottom. Yet another accessory:<\/a> a cape with the face of the president emblazoned on it, along with the acronym \u201cWWG1WGA,\u201d or \u201cWhere we go one, we go all,\u201d along the bottom. A $15 hat depicts a white rabbit, another symbol for the wacky group.<\/p>\n

\u201cHalloween ideas?\u201d wrote one Twitter user<\/a> with a screengrab of the eyebrow-raising outfits. \u201cHow about wrapping your child in a cloak of paranoia, fear and dissociative disorders?\u201d<\/p>\n

The conspiracy that sprang from Pizzagate, a crackpot theory that accused the Clintons of running a pedophile ring out of a D.C. pizza shop, now has a large online following \u2014 and apparently, merch. Hats, T-shirts and masks \u2014 even though one QAnon belief is that the coronavirus is a hoax, or a pretense for the president to round up Satanists \u2014 are also available on Amazon.<\/p>\n

The retail giant, which has previously run into trouble for promoting conspiracies through third-party sellers, might experience more pressure to rein in the QAnon cottage industry. Facebook<\/a>, TikTok and YouTube have recently announced crackdowns on conspiracies, including QAnon-sympathetic content.<\/p>\n

President Trump insisted he didn\u2019t know about QAnon when pressed by Savannah Guthrie at last week\u2019s town hall on his retweet of a post accusing Joe Biden of orchestrating the murder of Seal Team Six members, another bizarre, false theory from QAnon.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
