{"id":93066,"date":"2020-10-20T04:19:51","date_gmt":"2020-10-20T01:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/heres-why-zoom-dick-has-been-trending-all-day\/"},"modified":"2020-10-20T04:19:51","modified_gmt":"2020-10-20T01:19:51","slug":"heres-why-zoom-dick-has-been-trending-all-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/heres-why-zoom-dick-has-been-trending-all-day\/","title":{"rendered":"#Here\u2019s Why \u2018Zoom Dick\u2019 Has Been Trending All Day\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Here\u2019s Why \u2018Zoom Dick\u2019 Has Been Trending All Day\u2026<br \/>\n<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\nIt turns out <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> was a couple weeks ahead of the curve with their <strong>Zoom Video<\/strong> skit (inset, above)!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve noticed \u201c<strong>Zoom Dick<\/strong>\u201d trending on\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong> or elsewhere on social media throughout the day, well, here you go\u2026<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the <em>New Yorker<\/em>\u00a0suspended longtime writer and legal analyst <strong>Jeffrey Toobin<\/strong> after he exposed himself during a Zoom video chat between members of the outlet and its radio partner <em>WNYC<\/em> at some point last week.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report in\u00a0<em>VICE<\/em>, the\u00a0<strong>CNN<\/strong> pundit was masturbating on camera. For Toobin\u2019s part, he has confirmed the report \u2014 but claimed he did not realize his video camera was on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Wonder If This Has Ever H<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened To William And Harry Over Zoom?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two people who were reportedly on the Zoom call last week anonymously and separately told <em>Motherboard<\/em> that the virtual meeting was an election simulation featuring many of the outlet\u2019s most high-profile reporters, as well as a handful of producers from the accompanying radio partner. Toobin\u2019s role on the call had been to provide enlightenment on how the <strong>Supreme Court<\/strong> could potentially address a contested November election between <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Joe Biden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Both people on the call reported that there was a scheduled ten-minute breakout session from the simulation, at which point they claimed \u201cit seemed like Toobin went on a second video call.\u201d When all the other groups returned from their smaller breakout sessions, Toobin reportedly \u201clowered the camera,\u201d and one of the people on the call claimed \u201cthey could see Toobin touching his penis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moments later, after \u201cthey saw Toobin jerking off,\u201d the embattled legal analyst and writer appeared to call back into the full group session, \u201cseemingly unaware\u201d that his colleagues had been able to see what he\u2019d been doing through his camera. Talk about an awkward return\u2026!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Zoom Call - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3byTN8NTCkc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As noted, the\u00a0<em>New Yorker<\/em> has officially suspended Toobin while they investigate the incident. Later on Monday afternoon, he was also placed on indeterminate leave by CNN, where he serves as an on-air legal analyst as well.<\/p>\n<p>Toobin released a statement of his own about the incident on Monday, too. In it, he owned up to his \u201cembarrassingly stupid mistake\u201d and tried to explain what happened:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers. I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Maybe this was an honest mistake, and if so we do feel bad for the guy.<\/p>\n<p>But come on! He couldn\u2019t wait until <em>later<\/em> to do his own, let\u2019s say, <em>pole results<\/em>??
