“#Cancer-stricken Rush Limbaugh says he’s ‘under a death sentence’<\/strong>”

\n Rush Limbaugh revealed on his radio show Monday that a recent medical scan showed \u201csome progression\u201d of his cancer.<\/p>\n

The conservative radio host gave the solemn update after missing several shows earlier this month to receive treatment for advanced lung cancer, Fox News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scans did show some progression of cancer,\u201d Limbaugh told his listeners. \u201cNow, prior to that, the scans had shown that we had rendered the cancer dormant. That\u2019s my phrase for it. We had stopped the growth. It had been reduced, and it had become manageable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there\u2019s always the reality and the knowledge that that can change and it can come back because it is cancer. It eventually outsmarts pretty much everything you throw at it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Limbaugh announced his cancer diagnosis last February \u2014 a day before he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom<\/a> at President Trump\u2019s State of Union address.<\/p>\n

Limbaugh on Monday also shared some the distressful psychological effects caused by his affliction.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I\u2019m under a death sentence are over,\u201d Limbaugh said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all know that we\u2019re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

And despite the physical toll caused by his disease, Limbaugh said he\u2019s grateful to still be able to continue his work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very blessed to be here speaking with you today. Some days are harder than others. I do get fatigued now. I do get very, very tired now. I\u2019m not gonna mislead you about that,\u201d said Limbaugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I am extremely grateful to be able to come here to the studio and to maintain as much normalcy as possible \u2014 and it\u2019s still true.\u201d he said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
