\nComedia<\/a>n Sarah Silverman<\/strong> is getting real about singing AND sex during a pandemic \u2014 and a whole lot more!<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old funny woman and longtime film star called into\u00a0SiriusXM<\/em>\u2018s\u00a0Radio Andy<\/em> on Monday to talk with host Andy Cohen<\/strong> about her new podcast,\u00a0The Sarah Silverman Podcast<\/em>. During the conversation, she touched base on a lot of interesting stuff beyond that too, even taking things all the way back to the very start of the quarantine in March!<\/p>\n

As you may recall, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic\u2019s hold on the United States in early March, the Wreck-It Ralph<\/em> star was one of the many celebrities who took part of the infamous Imagine<\/em> video put on and pushed forward by Gal Gadot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The video bombed pretty spectacularly when it came out, but hearing Silverman explain how it came together \u2014 and how it ended up \u2014 gave interesting insight into the process and why it wasn\u2019t so well-received by fans.<\/p>\n

The comedian told Cohen:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I did a movie with Gal and actually Kristen Wiig<\/strong> was the one who contacted me, which I think Gal asked her to do. And Kristen Wiig is the s**t, you know, so she emailed me and she goes, \u2018Well, we\u2019re all gonna sing Imagine<\/em>.\u2019 And I wrote her back and I go, \u2018Imagine<\/em>, really?\u2019 And then I go, \u2018is it for a thing? Is it, what\u2019s the call to action?\u2019 And she\u2019s so sweet, you know? I mean, she\u2019s so funny. She\u2019s also so sweet. And she goes, \u2018no, it\u2019s just to like cheer people up.\u2019 And then I couldn\u2019t say no, because one, it was the beginning of quarantine. Like there\u2019s no saying no to anyone because you can\u2019t, there\u2019s no excuse for it. And you\u2019re not going to say no to Kristen Wiig. She is so lovely and she is so cool. So I tried to like, make my part funny at least. I feel like I have no currency unless I\u2019m being funny.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What about after??<\/p>\n

\u201cShe emailed me after and she\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry.\u2019 It was well-intentioned, but like, yeah, a little tone deaf. But it really came from a nice place, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
